Habitly Privacy Policy and Account/Data Deletion

Habitly is an offline-first habit tracking app. Core habit tracking works on your device without sign-in.
Optional paid cloud sync features use Google/Firebase services.
Account and Data Deletion
If you use Habitly cloud sync, you can delete synced cloud data in-app or request account/data deletion by email.
In-app cloud backup deletion (Pro)
- Open Habitly
- Open the Home screen menu (top-right)
- Tap Delete cloud backup
This deletes: your synced Habitly cloud backup data for the signed-in cloud sync account.
This does not delete: local data on your device or your Google account itself.

Please include the Google email used for Habitly cloud sync.
For verified requests, we will delete:
- Habitly cloud sync data associated with your account
- The Habitly cloud-sync account record under our control (where applicable)
What may not be deleted by us:
- Local data stored on your device (delete in-app / clear app storage / uninstall)
- Google Play transaction records retained by Google under its policies
- Your Google account itself (managed by Google)
We aim to process verified deletion requests as quickly as possible, and no later than 30 days, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
Data We Process
- Local habit data (habit names, settings, and log entries) for app functionality
- Cloud sync data (optional): Google account email (for sign-in/account identity) and habit/log data for cloud backup/sync
- Subscription/entitlement information to unlock paid features
Third-Party Services
- Google Play Billing (subscriptions)
- Google/Firebase services for optional cloud sync and sign-in
We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data for advertising or marketing.
Security
- Data sent between the app and cloud services is encrypted in transit.
- Core local habit tracking does not require an online account.
Data Retention
- Local data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app storage, or uninstall the app.
- Cloud sync data remains until deleted in-app or by verified deletion request.
- We may retain limited records where required by law or to resolve disputes/prevent abuse.
